Emergency & Out of Hours Care
If your pet requires urgent veterinary care, please call us on:

We provide 24 hour emergency care, 7 days a week for pets in need of urgent medical attention outside of the usual opening hours of the practice.

If your pet is in need of emergency care outside of our opening hours:

1. Call the main practice telephone number on 01463 230893
​
2. The call will be automatically transferred to the mobile number of the on call vet.
​
3. The on call vet may not be able to answer your call immediately, do not worry if this is the case. Just leave a message on the voicemail outlining the details of the emergency and the Vet will call you back as soon as they are able.
​
4. When you talk with the Vet, they will take some information about your pet and help you to make an informed choice regarding your care options.
​
5. If it is determined it would be best to see your pet we will agree a time to see you at the MacLellan Vets Eastgate Practice on Millburn Road, Inverness IV2 3PY.

Out of hours consultations carry an additional fee, which will be discussed during the phone call.

We will not usually agree to a home visit in an emergency situation, as access to medical equipment and medication is likely to be required.
